In the neurological department of the Republican Clinical Hospital, all conditions have been created for the examination and treatment of patients with neurological disorders. The department widely uses diagnostic examination methods: computed tomography, ultrasound examination of internal organs and the thyroid gland, echocardiography and other necessary examination methods.

On the basis of the neurological department, planned treatment and diagnosis of patients with diseases of the nervous system are carried out: Neurodegenerative diseases of the central nervous system, Parkinsonism, Chronic vascular diseases of the brain and spinal cord, Hereditary diseases of the central nervous system, Diseases of the extrapyramidal system, Myasthenia gravis, Syringomyelia, Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, Hereditary and acquired cerebellar degenerations , Multiple sclerosis, Demyelinating diseases of the central nervous system, Vertebrogenic pathology, Polyneuropathies, Tunnel syndromes.
According to indications, patients are consulted by specialists of other profiles: Endocrinologist, Surgeon, Urologist, Ophthalmologist, Otorhinolaryngologist.

The department undergoes planned treatment for disabled people and WWII participants, persons equal to them in terms of benefits, internationalist wars, persons who took part in the liquidation of the consequences of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant accident, and persons exposed to ionizing radiation from the activities of the SNTP.
Treatment of diseases is carried out according to clinical diagnostic and treatment protocols approved by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan
