The hospital provides specialized medical care, including consultative and diagnostic, inpatient, inpatient replacement and rehabilitation medical care.
The 24-hour hospital includes a therapeutic department, a neurological department, a multidisciplinary rehabilitation department, a multidisciplinary paid department, as well as a day hospital.
As part of its statutory activities, the Hospital provides medical assistance to disabled people and participants of the Patriotic War, persons equal to them in terms of benefits and guarantees, veterans of military operations on the territory of other states, persons who took part in the liquidation of the consequences of the disaster at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, persons injured as a result of testing at the Semipalatinsk nuclear test site.
Hospitalization of patients within the framework of the guaranteed volume of medical care and or in the compulsory medical insurance system is carried out by referral from specialists of primary health care or local health care organizations in accordance with the order of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 11, 2020 No. KR DSM-258/2020 “On approval of the list of diseases, in which specialized medical care in a hospital setting is provided in a planned manner.”
RKGVOV provides second-stage rehabilitation medical care in a 24-hour hospital setting as part of the compulsory medical insurance financing package. In accordance with the Standard for organizing the provision of medical rehabilitation, the second stage is the conduct of medical rehabilitation in the acute and early recovery periods during the first 6 months of illness or injury.
The multidisciplinary rehabilitation department provides restorative treatment and medical rehabilitation in the following fields – neurology and neurosurgery, traumatology – orthopedics, cardiology (including cardiac surgery).
